Cheek to Cheek, 2026

Shaina McCoy (b. 1993) is a painter whose faceless figures and impasto technique evoke intimacy, inviting viewers to project their own memories onto the work. 'Cheek to Cheek' depicts a shared moment between the artist's grandfather and aunt, rendered without faces to universalise the gesture. Tender yet anonymous, it mirrors acts of care and togetherness, where memory lies in the moment recognised.
