Tomato, 2022

Isabella Athena Brunskill (b. 2003) is a British-Cypriot geography student whose intricate fineliner drawings bridge landscape, architecture and imagined travel through precision and detail. 'Tomato', drawn from a heritage variety found at a farmers market, was rendered entirely in coloured fineliner, with only a few black streaks lending it depth. Precise yet organic, it finds darkness within colour, where depth lies in restraint.
