Flames to Dust, 2025

Elif Yanya (b. 1999) is a painter whose work moves between memory, landscape and light, focusing on the quiet residue of surface through layering and purposeful ambiguity. 'Flames to Dust' emerged through a process of layering and lifting pigment away, letting the light of the image reveal itself from underneath. Concealed yet luminous, it uncovers what was buried, where clarity lies in what remains.
