“Benediction” from the Series “Time to Play", 2025

Delali Ayivi (b. 1996) is a Togolese-German photographer based in London, whose fashion-led work reclaims narratives of Togolese and diasporic identity through colour, movement and collective imagination. 'Benediction', from the series Time to Play, pictures her brother Gabriel in a project made with WaterAid and the Wimbledon Foundation, exploring how access to clean water restores one of childhood's most powerful tools: play. Ayivi celebrates imagination especially for communities long denied that freedom.
