THE STORY
'Hanging paint up to dry is what I have to do. The poetry of a shirt billowing on the washing line and being alive.' Patrick Hughes (b.1939) is a British artist, pioneer and inventor of “reverspective”. Since his debut solo show in London in 1961, he has exhibited in over 200 shows worldwide. This piece invites viewers to reflect on the subtleties of movement and stillness, turning a routine chore into an unexpectedly, poetic moment of being alive.
