THE STORY

Clare Burdeshaw, based in Los Angeles, uses ballpoint pens and markers to create highly detailed and immersive artworks. The idea to create Lost was due to the artist's fascination with koi fish and the spiritual meanings they embody and represent. This piece was the first of many koi inspired artworks, and it is for that reason that the original is not nor will ever be for sale.

Introduction to Clare Burdeshaw

Clare Burdeshaw is a multi-media illustrator who works exclusively on paper. Her drawings use ballpoint pen, marker, colored pencils and sometimes pastels. With an eye for detail and precision, Clare creates immersive scenes or surreal patterns that are often inspired by her work in animation and design.
