THE STORY

Kuda Baskwa, a Zimbabwe-born artist now living in Copenhagen, reimagines the iconic Cirkel Kaffe logo, first designed in the 1940s and updated by Aage Sikker Hansen in 1955. Originally reflecting a European view of African identity, Baskwa’s version critiques and reclaims this symbol, infusing it with his bold use of colour and cultural reflection, while exploring its complex historical narrative.
