Baguette Birthday, 2023

Laura Hoyos Cardona (b. 1996) is a Colombian-born, London-based designer working across metal, wood and print, translating the act of eating into a multi-sensory artistic experience through her studio Hito Estudio. 'Baguette Birthday', made between Medellín, London and Paris, transforms the ritual of gathering around the table into a celebration of touch and taste. Playful yet tactile, it turns nourishment into occasion, where meaning lies in what is shared at the table.
